ITTY BITTY SWEET BOXES

Pop some chocolates or party favours in these gorgeous little cone-shaped boxes – they make cute table place markers or hang them over the back of each guest’s chair at your Christmas in July gathering!

Method

  • Download the box designs below and print them on white cardstock.
  • Allow the ink to dry then cut them out.
  • Score along the lines with a metal ruler and a scoring tool then fold the shape into a cone.
  • Stick double-sided tape on the back of the small flap and fold it under to close it.
  • Punch a hole in the centre of each of the top flaps where marked.
  • Next, fold a 20cm (8in) length of ribbon in half and feed the raw ends through the hole on the flap with the Handmade  logo on it, then tie the raw ends in a knot on the wrong side of the flap.
  • Put the items inside the box and fold down the flap with the ribbon tied to it followed by the opposite flap – feeding the ribbon through its hole.
  • Then fold the remaining sides down being sure to feed the ribbon through the holes to form a hanger.

Tips and hints

  • Use a stylus, a scissor blade or even a letter opener if you don’t have a scoring tool.
  • Decorate the bags with flowers, buttons or beads.
  • Cut around the edge of the flaps with decorative-edged scissors for a quirky finish.
