Buttered pecans
Method
- Melt the butter in a frying pan over a gentle heat until it foams, then add the pecans and stir it well.
- Sprinkle the salt on and fry it lightly for about a minute.
- Transfer the nuts to a baking tray and cook them at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes. When the pecans are golden and crunchy, remove them from the oven.
- Sprinkle lemon juice on them, give them a stir and bake for a further two minutes.
- Let the tray cool before removing it from the oven, and then store the pecans in an airtight container away from direct sunlight until they're ready to be served.
