Cooking measurements around the world are different and Australia uses metric measurements. While we do tend to weigh dry ingredients, we also use cup measurements. One Australian metric measuring cup holds approximately 250ml.

Note:
The Australian cup is the same as the US cup measurement.
The Australian teaspoon is the same as the US teaspoon
The Australian tablespoon is 20ml, while the North American, New Zealand and UK tablespoon is slightly smaller at 15ml.
Ensure all cup and spoon measurements are level.

To help with the conversions, we have provided these helpful charts so that you‘ll be able to make our recipes.

While these conversions are approximate only, they are accurate enough to ensure the recipe to be successful.

Oven temperatures

Proper temperature control is a key to ensuring a successful outcome in your cooking, and cooking times can vary depending on the type of oven you are using.

As these temperatures are intended as a guide only, please ensure you refer to the manufacturer’s instruction manual for your oven. For fan-forced ovens, you generally need to set the temperature about 20°C lower, but again please read the appliance manual for guidance.
