Anyone would think that it was a crime to love Christmas!
Listening to the radio while travelling to and from work last week, it seemed everytime I tuned in, some announcer was whinging about Christmas and how it was way to early to be even thinking about Christmas, let alone to be putting decorations up.
It really got up my nose, until I remembered that I - unlike most - am a self-confessed absolute ‘Christmas nutter’. I think I mentioned last week that I have so much Christmas stuff, that if I don’t start putting it out now, we won’t have enough time to enjoy it. So, I started on the weekend setting some of my pieces up.
As you can see I had a ‘thing’ a couple of years ago for tinware… so I started collecting Santas and snowmen… these are my Santas! Cute huh!

Greetings!
Please excuse this intrusion into your day, but I wanted to make you aware of a new Yahoo Christmas group for Aussies. It is called Aussies_Crazy_About_Christmas, and we have a lovely time sharing the Christmas spirit with each other.
We share ideas, advice, and tips, related to: shopping, decorating, organizing, gift buying, cards, crafts, family traditions, recipes, entertaining, and much more…but with a distinct Aussie flavour.
We discuss, and plan for, Christmas year ’round. We talk about other holidays, and our personal lives, too. We are fortunate to have a *family* atmosphere in our group.
We’re always looking for new members , and we were hoping that you might give us a look. This group is open to folks who live in Australia ONLY. So, if you do not live IN Australia, please do not click on the “Join this Group” button. Thank you. Here is the URL:

Hope to see you there soon!

Ok…so this 2009, a few years after you initially posted your Santa display and your comments…..but I have to say that last year our Regional Co-ordinator went absolutely extreme on decorating our office, to the point that everyday she would bring more Christmas decorations into the office that she had “lying around at home”….. and the pride and joy was her Santa display we had in the middle of our meeting table. We won the Best Dressed…office, tree and Christmas Party table……how cheap is that??? The company saved money by throwing us a Christmas BBQ at work and we had to decorate our own table we were to eat at….LOL. Well not long till the silly season is upon us again for 2009!!
