Trying to cut my hair at the back when I was young and then needing a No1 clipper to fix the attempt! If you could master one new skill, what would it be? Singing. I have a foghorn voice. What's your favourite project that's been featured in Handmade? It’s hard to select a favourite as I have seen so many quality projects. Being a photo collector, I do love the scrapbooking items. Describe your greatest creative achievement. Taking a photo of Dannii Minogue while she was signing a large photo of the two of us posing together just previously! How is your home decorated? Bright and contemporary. What is your favourite colour and why? Blue and aqua, they are very fresh-looking, cool colours. Tell us about your earliest childhood craft memories. It would have to be an aunt of mine making cushions and ensuring all the family members had one – or more – of them! What's the best handmade present you've ever received? Probably one of my aunt's cushions. If I don't say that and she sees this I’ll be in trouble! Tell us an unusual or surprising fact about yourself. My absolute idol in the music world is the same as my father’s when he was a teenager – Connie Francis. What is your motto in life? Be nice to those you pass on the way to the top of the ladder, because you will pass the same people on the way down! Describe any ‘what was I thinking?’ purchases. What was I thinking when I bought a box set of ABBA CDs for $160 to get only one song that I did not already have on my other ABBA CDs. What music do you listen to while you work? 2Day FM. I don’t have a CD player at work but I’d love to play Connie Francis and Dolly Parton – and anything else that’s considered old-fashioned. Any amusing anecdotes? I enjoy a good singalong ... with headphones on so I can’t hear myself!
